There's just something so charming about bullfinches, not only are they beautiful - they are also full of surprises.
 
Whilst their gentle song is perhaps a little underwhelming to our ear, male bullfinches have an incredible capacity to memorise and perform a tune.
 
In the 19th century, German foresters taught young bullfinches to repeat whistled tunes, which they did with perfect clarity. They could then sell these bullfinches at a high price as entertaining companions who could sing this tune for the rest of their lives.
 
This greeting card is perfect for birthdays and anniversaries of any bird or wildlife lover. Or anyone who enjoys gardening or spending time watching garden birds.
